Rob Biederman is in Boston for his second year at Harvard Business School with fellow 08'ers Rob Katz, Savannah Sachs, Dan Chen, Abhinav Jha, Samson Mesghena, Jose Ramirez, Adrian Ross, Danny Samit, John Snyder, Elizabeth Washburn, and Hicham Mhammedi Alaoui. Having worked at Bain Capital before business school, Rob founded a company called HourlyNerd in his first year with a team of close friends. The company provides small and medium-sized businesses with flexible, low-cost consulting services from MBA students and alumni who had previously worked at top professional services firms. It has had over $100K in revenue and raised seed capital this summer from a group of investors including Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban. Alumni businesses should feel free to get in touch! Rob is pictured second from the left with Aaron Souza (left), Adam Growald (right) and Philip Dobrin (second from right). Aaron is at Stanford Business School and reports that “my current occupation is being a ‘socially acceptable bum’ (title stolen from a second year MBA). Missing New York, but no complains about life in the Bay Area.” Since 2012, Adam has been working at Lippincott, the brand strategy and design firm, “building tomorrow's best brands and all that,” he says. Philip has been working at Bridgewater Associates, an investment management firm, since 2008.
