RYAN “The Weather Guy” TRUCHELUT married Erica Staehling *09 on August 7th, 2011 in Baltimore, MD. The bowling alley reception – replete with 90s pop rock and ample glow sticks – was by all accounts an extremely zany affair featuring many '08 luminaries, including usher BRIAN EXTEIN, SEFFY MULLER, KEREN GLINERT, JON ULLMAN, HILARY VAUGHN DOBEL, LAUREN BARNETT, THOMAS DOLLAR, NATE MORRISON, MAGGIE ORR, ALEXANDRA RITTS, DAN PALL, and EMILY FARLEY. The happy couple is enjoying married life at their new home in Tallahassee, FL. Erica directs a science education community outreach program for Florida State University, making use of her Master of Atmospheric Science from Princeton. Ryan works as a forecaster for an agricultural commodities trading firm while pursuing a doctorate in meteorology.
PATRICIA LI went to China for two weeks in October to sightsee and visit family in a multi-city tour spanning Beijing, Harbin and Shanghai. In Beijing, she ran up the steps to Tower 8 at the Mutianyu portion of the Great Wall (pictured). In Shanghai, Patricia split her time between walking on Wai Tan (the Bund) and tourist shopping at Yuyuan (Jade Garden). She said, “it was a great time and very interesting to see how much China has developed.”
