DEREK YECIES and JESSICA (LUCAS) YECIES were delighted to welcome their
son James Peter Yecies into the world on December 20th,
2012. Derek said, “He is named for our beloved and dearly missed classmate
PETER NORMAN CURTIN, and we hope he will have Pete's kindness and zest for life,
even if Pete's chemistry prowess and overall 'dapperness' will be hard to live
up to.” James was 7 lbs when he was born, and both Jess and James are doing
great. Besides procreating, Derek is in his last year of medical school at
Boston University and applying for residencies in neurosurgery. Jess completed her Ph.D. in biology at Harvard
a year ago and has been working for the life sciences consulting firm ClearView
Healthcare Partners since then. James will be making his Princeton debut at the
fifth and is excited to meet all of you! You can see he’s already sporting
Princeton gear.
This is a big spring for medical school graduations! RAJANI SHARMA also will
be graduating from medical school this May, and she is applying for residency
in internal medicine. Aside from enjoying 4th year and traveling, she was the
overall winner of the national medical student research competition at the
American Medical Association meeting in Honolulu, HI. She said, “Good luck to
everyone matching for residency this year!”
Only
40 days until reunions!! See you all
soon.
